About Polly

Polly is a sweet girl with a history that explains her gentle but shy nature. She grew up crammed in a home with 32 other dogs, where people didn't have much time or energy to give her the attention every dog deserves. Food and outdoor time were provided, but warmth, cuddles, and clean space were hard to come by. She has a sibling who looks and acts just like her—double the charm if you’re considering a pair. At first, Polly hesitates; she needs time to see that people can be kind. Every day at the shelter, she gains a bit more confidence and learns to loosen up. She’s practicing her leash skills and responds well with consistent encouragement. Polly will thrive in a peaceful home with patient people, where she can settle in and learn what it means to be truly loved—and repay with all the snuggles you’d wish for.
