Hi, my name is Debo! I’ve got a bit of a past, but I’m ready to bust out of this joint and start fresh with the right person. I can be a little bit of an oddball at first — “stranger danger” is my motto until I know you’re safe. I’m not shy about using my voice to let you know how I feel either! I came to the shelter because I was a bit too much for my previous owners. You see, I’m smart… maybe a little too smart. I’ve been known to climb just about anything if I set my mind to it. On top of that, I’ve got a strong prey drive, so I’m not the best fit for homes with kids, cats, or other small animals. I’m very much an “only dog” kind of guy — I prefer to have all the attention (and treats!) to myself. What I really need is someone who understands me, respects my boundaries, and can give me structure, training, and patience. If you’re looking for a loyal, one-of-a-kind companion who will keep life interesting, then I’m your guy.
