Dobby is an absolutely wonderful senior boy, about 7-9 years old. He is so playful, loving, energetic, and full of life. All he wants is a human to love and a comfy pile of blankets to snooze on. Dobby does have Stage 2 Kidney failure, and while this will be a lifelong progressive condition, his levels have remained stable while in foster, and the vet feels like he would do best in a forever home where he can be loved and cared for for the rest of his life. While the kidney disease will be progressive, he has an estimated 5-10 years remaining lifespan. He will need to remain on his prescription kidney food diet, have a water fountain, and be given the occasional nausea pill and, eventually, possibly subcutaneous fluids. While he has a medical condition that requires a bit of extra care, he is genuinely one of the most loving and perfect kitties out there! He has a ton of energy and love for life, and always wants to cuddle or play. He enjoys sitting on his foster mom's lap while she works, and snuggling with her for naps on the couch. When he's feeling playful, he hunts for rattle mice or zooms back and forth across the house chasing one of his foster mom's other kitties. He gets along with all other kitties he has met, but he does need a home where he can have access to his kidney food and not other food (he does not enjoy being locked in a room away from his humans).
