Wonderful Walter #hmrwalter is ready for a new home. He spent the day at the vet yesterday and on through exam and bloodwork his only issues are he is positive for Lyme and he is deaf. He is on Doxy and will adopt with the remainder of the course. He definitely isn’t affected by his lack of hearing but all humans in the home will need to be mindful of this. He is very friendly and adores attention from everyone but since he was a stray we don’t know his past home type. He will be neutered on the 30th and we would love to have a home for him soon after that. He is very dog friendly, tested ok with a cat but no idea on having lived with one. He crates well and seems to be housebroken, only one accident and that was his first day. Walks well on a leash but definitely loves smelling EVERYTHING. He is 55 lbs and we are calling him 8 years old. He is spry and moves well, enjoys his walks and seems to be more of a tug type player than a fetch player but like most retrievers he would definitely learn we are sure.
