Misty’s story starts a little earlier than it should have.At just one year old, she had already become a mama — raising a litter of puppies while still very much a puppy herself. Life asked a lot of her, and she gave everything she had. The good news? Her owners loved her enough to ask for help. They wanted the best for her babies… and for Misty too. And that’s how her second chance began. 💛 When Misty arrived, she was thin — the kind of thin that tells you she’s been giving more than she’s been getting. But what she didn’t arrive with was fear, hesitation, or a guarded heart. Instead, she stepped into her foster home like she’d always belonged there.  New dogs? No problem. New environment? She handled it like a pro. Her puppies bouncing around her? Just another day in Misty’s world. She has this quiet, steady confidence about her — a calm, gentle presence that makes everything around her feel just a little more peaceful. She doesn’t need to be the center of attention, but somehow, she still ends up being the heart of the room. Like many “rez dogs,” Misty is a beautiful mystery — likely a blend of small-to-medium terrier, maybe a touch of shepherd or retriever, and a whole lot of something special you can’t quite put your finger on. At around 35 pounds, she’s the perfect in-between size — not too big, not too small, just right for couch cuddles and outdoor adventures alike. But what truly defines Misty isn’t her breed — it’s her spirit.She is soft, resilient, and endlessly giving. A young dog who has already given so much and now it’s finally her turn to be cared for, cherished, and adored. Misty is looking for a home where she’ll be a family member.
