About Crouton
Meet #Crouton (found at Giant Eagle in Niles… now waiting for her second chance ) Crouton’s story started in a parking lot… alone, unsure, and trying to figure out where she belonged. She does have a microchip, and we made every effort to reach her owner… but sadly, no one came for her. The good news? She’s already spayed and appears to be a young girl, which means she has her whole life ahead of her… she just needs someone to help her start it. Crouton is settling in nicely here at the shelter. She can be a little shy when you first meet her , taking her time to feel things out — but once she’s out and about, you start to see her personality shine. A little energy, a little curiosity, and a whole lot of potential. She’s still learning the ropes and would definitely benefit from some basic training and structure, but that’s the beauty of it. She’s a blank slate, ready to learn, ready to bond, and ready to become someone’s best friend. We are recommending a home with older, respectful children at this time, as she may be a bit too much for younger kiddos while she’s still figuring things out. Because the truth is… Crouton didn’t end up here because she’s anything less than a good dog. She ended up here because no one came back for her. And that’s the part we want to change. Imagine being the one who shows her love… The one who teaches her what a home feels like… The one who never leaves her behind again. That’s what rescue is all about Submit an adoption application to: Healthyheartsproject.org/adopt A team member will reach out within 24–48 hours to schedule a meet and greet Come meet Crouton… she’s ready to leave the parking lot behind and find her forever.
