Lentil's story is one we see far too often but her ending is going to be something truly special. She found herself at the Staten Island ACC, and like so many sensitive souls, the stress of kennel life began to take a toll. What started as a sweet, hopeful girl slowly turned into quiet sadness. The noise, the confinement, the constant uncertainty, it dimmed her light. Lentil didn't belong there. She needed out. And we listened. Our founder and president, Jennifer Brooks, stepped in and made sure Lentil got her second chance because no dog this gentle should ever be forgotten behind kennel doors. Now safe, Lentil is beginning to blossom again. She's a little shy at first, but once she feels safe, her true personality shines through. She is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and just wants to be close to her people. Lentil was born to be loved, and to love right back. If you're looking for a gentle, soulful companion who will form a deep and meaningful bond, Lentil is your girl.
