Hi! My name is Mimi and I am available for adoption. I was brought in by my previous owner on March 19, 2026 because they were moving. I have lived in a home with adults and children as young as 11 and 13. My previous owner descibed me as very sweet, has been indoors only and always uses the litterbox. I must admit my first few days at RASKC were really rough. I was so used to being in a home that being in a shelter with so many noises and different smells scared. After about a week I finally am showing my true colors! I LOVE to play and LOVE scritches under my chin, but fast movements and loud noises do startle me so I would do best in a home without younger children. When I go to my new home it is important to be patient with me and allow me time to acclimate to my new environment at my own speed. It is best to keep me in a smaller, quiet room, with my food, bed, and litterbox until I am comfortable and confident enough to start exploring the rest of my home. I am a gentle and loving cat who likes to take things slow. I may get nervous in new situations, so I am looking for a family who understands that I might need some time to warm up. Once I get to know you, I will be a very devoted friend!
