He can be shy at first, but with patience, understanding, and kindness, his loving personality begins to shine. Sylvester’s Story Sylvester was found dumped in the bushes near the University of Miami with a fractured hip. He has since undergone surgery and is now on the road to recovery and a much brighter future. Because of his past injury, Sylvester will need a calm and mindful home. He should not jump on or off couches, beds, or high surfaces to prevent re-injury. A safe environment and an attentive adopter will be essential to keeping him healthy and thriving. Personality & Home Life Sylvester is currently doing very well in foster care. He lives with two large dogs and has shown that he is dog-friendly, often following their lead and learning from them. He enjoys being part of the home environment, observing and taking things in at his own pace. He is still building confidence and should be approached gently. Slow movements and soft interaction help him feel safe. Once he trusts you, he becomes a very loving and loyal companion. Sylvester is also doing well on leash and walks nicely alongside his person.
