Lumi is a tiny toy breed mix, weighing just over 5 pounds, and she’s every bit as delicate as she looks. She moves through the world with caution, preferring calm and gentle routines that help ease her nerves. New things—people, places, leashes, even car rides—can overwhelm her, so she’s looking for an adopter who truly understands what it means to go slow, offer patience, and build trust over time. Experience with small toy breeds isn’t just preferred here, it’s required. Lumi’s true personality sneaks out with the right company: sweet, shy, and gentle, but playful once she decides you’re safe. A quiet home will help her thrive—no kids, no crowded spaces, and if possible, another small, confident dog to help her learn the ropes. She loves cozy spaces, gentle affection on her terms, and the simple routine of a household that doesn’t rush her. Potty training is a work in progress. She uses pee pads but still has accidents and will need continued help with leash skills. Most of all, she needs someone home often to provide structure and reassurance. Her future adopter must be local to Miami (no transport, sorry), no older than 65, and ready to commit to Lumi’s slow but rewarding journey toward confidence.
