Sunny is a large, long-haired Persian cat with a striking black and white (tuxedo) coat. He is about 1 year old, fully neutered, and house trained. His vaccinations are up to date. Sunny resides in Manteca, CA. As a Taurus born on May 1, he’s likely to be extra affectionate and steadfast once he settles in.

About Sunny

Sunny is finally ready for a new beginning after surviving a hoarding tragedy in Merced County, where he was rescued with over 120 other purebred Persians trapped inside a stifling van. Now in Manteca, CA, he’s a shy soul who tends to hide until he feels safe. Sunny needs a quiet home, ideally with another gentle, sweet cat or as the only pet. Once he learns to trust, Sunny reveals a deeply affectionate side—he simply needs time and patience to come out of his shell. His journey has not been easy. When rescued, Sunny was suffering from ringworm, heavy matting, flea infestation, and malnutrition. Thanks to dedicated care, he’s healed from most of his conditions and has just one more round of treatment left. He is currently being treated for Tritrichomonis (a condition that can be contagious to other cats), but treatment is manageable and ongoing. If you’re interested and have no other cats at home, arrangements can be made for adoption before treatment ends. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
