While his original owner was eventually tracked down, they made the difficult choice not to bring him home, leaving Boone ready to find a family who will truly cherish him. Boone is currently undergoing the "slow kill" method for heartworm treatment, which means he is looking for a relaxed household where he can linger nearby and enjoy casual, leisurely walks. He recently attended a public event and was a total gentleman, doing beautifully with every person and dog he met.
