About Leonahospice
They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now! Leona is a 12+ year old Shih Tzu mix who has clearly had a difficult life, but you’d never know it from the gentle way she looks at you and the quiet determination she carries. This little lady has been through a lot, yet she still has so much love left to give. When Leona first arrived at the rescue, she was dealing with a painful yeast infection on her skin, which has since been treated and is now much better. Leona does have dry eye and will need eye medication twice a day, but she’s a very cooperative patient and takes her treatment without fuss. She also has some mammary tumors, but they certainly don’t slow her down. Leona still enjoys exploring the yard, basking in the sunshine, and being near people who care about her. What Leona needs most now is a soft place to land—a quiet home where she can spend her golden days surrounded by kindness and comfort. Whether she has months or years ahead, she deserves to experience what it feels like to truly be loved and cherished. Leona may be a senior, but her heart remains full and ready to bond with someone special. If you have room in your home and heart for a gentle soul who just wants peace, love, and a cozy place to rest, Leona will be forever grateful. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
