About Turbo
MEET TURBO! Turbo joined City of Elderly Love in November of 2025 after being rescued by Humane Law Enforcement from a hoarding situation. He's estimated to be around 10 years old and is a pint-sized guy, weighing in just around 10 lbs. Since joining us, he has been recovering in foster care, gaining weight and recovering from an initial surgery and dental procedure to remove 10+ teeth. Now that he’s recovered, Turbo is ready to land the home of his dreams! When the weather is warm he lives up to his namesake and can walk for ages. He loves exploring a park or the city sidewalks, stopping to sniff new things along the way. He is great in the car, in a sling, and is unphased by wearing any and all clothing. He has been to loud parties and family gatherings and allows anyone to hold him. He is the ultimate sweetie pie and will love on anyone that is nearby. He also looks great in sweaters and doesn't mind dressing up! Turbo proved early on that he was a stealthy boy, jumping over gates and blockades initially used to keep him safe but were soon removed when it was clear he needed to be able to roam free. He does not like to be contained and did not take to a crate but has since enjoyed his unlimited couch access. He lives up to his senior status at 10 years old quite well, primarily sleeping throughout the day. He gets excited when a human comes home but is otherwise uninterested in toys or games around the house. Turbo came from a house with other dogs and does well with dogs similar to his size. While he doesn't seem to have major issues with larger dogs, he would need a calm and slow introduction to them. Like most Chihuahua's, Turbo definitely feels more at ease when there is a human around and may bark a bit when you leave before settling down. He'd love to be someone's work-from-home buddy! He is ultimately looking for someone that he can rest his head on and cuddle next to with the occasional outing around the neighborhood! Turbo was diagnosed with a heart murmur and received a cardiology workup after coming to the rescue to confirm nothing else was going on with his heart. He also received surgery to repair a perineal hernia and received a badly needed dental cleaning with extractions. Needless to say, he's feeling great these days! Turbo is available for adoption through City of Elderly Love. He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Interested in adopting him?
