About Sam
Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you. Meet Sam! Sam is a very handsome pup, estimated at about 3 years old. He is believed to be a Mastiff mix, but is smaller than you might expect for the breed. Sam's journey began in a bustling and overcrowded southern facility. Now, he is searching for a loving forever home where he can thrive. Sam adores people and gets along well with older, respectful children. He is also likely to do well with calm, lower-energy dogs, while overly active dogs can make him feel nervous due to his sensitive nature. Sam is a sweetheart who absolutely loves belly rubs and treats. Although he is still learning some basic manners, his eagerness to please will make him a fast learner in the right environment. Physically, Sam is in good shape, though he does have some vision limitations that sometimes cause him to miss things coming his way. This contributes to his preference for calmer settings and playmates. He is neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and current on all vaccinations and preventatives. The rescue plans to get him a full eye examination with a specialist to ensure his continued well-being. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
