About Rambo
This handsome boy was shy when he arrived at the shelter. But he's really warmed up and learned to shine with the help of kind people taking time to shower him with love. INSIGHTS FROM RAMBO'S FRIENDS: Rambo is so so sweet! He loves to get petted and just goes from person to person to soak up love. He cares much more about affection than treats. We have fostered this lovely dog for a week. He was a little shut down when he came to the shelter but has been blooming very well in our home. He is happy and confident when he is outside and loves to do 'zoomies' in our yard. Also loves to take walks and explore the world. Inside he is more timid. He rarely barks and can be independent in the house. He also wants to be petting and cuddled in the house. He has a very gentle nature to him. Very mellow and loving. He loves lots of attention and pets. His previous life may have been a bit rough but he just wants to be loved now. He needs someone to show him how to be a dog though. He does not know any commands or how to play tug or fetch. His previous family spoke Spanish and we have tried those commands but I don’t think anyone ever took the time to teach him. He would make a great dog for a family or even an older couple that does not want to deal with the energy of some dogs. He seems to love everyone! Meet Rambo, a dog who defines the word 'loving.' After a few days of settling in, Rambo’s initial shyness completely melted away, revealing an engaged, happy boy who just wants to be where his people are. Rambo is loving to people, kids, other friendly dogs and loves walks. He gets excited to play chase the tennis ball outside and has good energy in our fenced-in backyard. We have fostered several adoptable dogs but Rambo is the gentlest and most loving of them all. For the first time we invited him on the bed and couch, as he is so appreciative of being part of the family while snuggling. He would do well with another dog looking for a play friend and loves kids. One trainable area encompasses that he can happily jump up when initially greeting someone, but we have seen steady improvement and have almost mastered down. He is very trainable. We taught him come and sit in a half hour and he nicely follows basic hand signals. Rambo is a wonderful dog, loves everyone, and would be a great addition to any dog-loving family.
