About Cj
Meet CJ—a sweet, sensitive, and fun-loving boy eager to fill your days with adventure, laughs, and plenty of cuddles. CJ is crate and house trained, ready for an active, patient home that will help him gain more confidence while making him part of daily routines. He loves dashing around with his stuffies, gnawing on chewy toys, and keeping a low-key watch over the neighborhood from the front door. Often, while you work from home, he’ll try to squeeze into your lap—just to remind you that cuddle breaks are important. CJ is a joyful greeter, thrilled to meet new people, though reigning in his excitement is still a work in progress. He’s food motivated and gentle with treats, which helps with his ongoing training. To keep anxiety in check, he takes a daily medication each morning to help him relax and enjoy every moment. This guy is ready for any adventure. He makes a fantastic car companion and snoozed happily in his crate on a road trip to Maine. CJ would thrive in a home that enjoys hikes, walks, and letting him wade into the Eno River. A fenced yard would let him satisfy his curiosity and love of running. He lacks experience with most dogs and can get a bit bold during introductions, so slow meetings and a playmate who matches his spirited style are ideal. CJ’s playful side is obvious at home—he sometimes grabs soft items within reach, so sturdy toys are wise, and because of his size and playful energy, he fits best with adults or older children (age 8+). As day turns to evening, CJ becomes the ultimate snuggle bug, happiest curled at your side, head on your lap, dozing off peacefully. Overnight, he settles quietly in his crate. CJ is not a good fit for homes with cats. If you want a loyal, playful, and affectionate sidekick who brings joy, adventure, and calm cuddle time to your world, CJ’s waiting in Durham, NC, for the right match. Ready to fall in love?
