About Hamlet
Hamlet is looking for a lifeline—and a patient adopter who sees beyond the chaos of kennel life. Found straying alone, Hamlet now waits for stability and a soft spot to land. He’s young, all heart, and brims with personality. Big on affection and eager for attention, Hamlet doesn’t hold back in new social settings. He’s a leaner and a tail-wagger, always searching for a connection with his handlers. But after months in care, Hamlet struggles to manage his excitement. These days, he sometimes gets over-aroused, jumping and mouthing handlers too hard, and is not always easy to redirect when he’s worked up. Continued impulse control and basic manners need work. His adopter must be ready to put in the time and structure—with positive reinforcement, Hamlet is quick to learn but needs someone firm, kind, and consistent. On walks, he tends to pull and can be oblivious to passersby but is otherwise indifferent to nearby dogs. Out in the world, he just wants to explore at full throttle. Hamlet’s ideal home is adult only, with an experienced adopter who understands large, energetic dogs and can stick to a routine. Hamlet has some dental disease to keep an eye on, but his vaccinations are up to date and he’s already neutered. He’s a big, social character who will shine when he finally gets the starring role he deserves. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
