Not long ago, we were living deep in the woods in Murphy, North Carolina, doing our very best to keep our ten puppies safe. It was bitterly cold — the wind was strong, and the temperatures were dropping fast. We tucked our babies into a den beneath a huge uprooted tree, hoping it would protect them. We didn’t know help was on the way, but thankfully, kind people noticed us and reached out. When our rescuers arrived, they worked so hard to bring all of us to safety. We were scared at first — everything was unfamiliar — but they were patient and gentle. One by one, our puppies were carefully gathered. Just when everyone thought they were all safe, they heard a tiny bark from deep inside the root den. One of our little ones was still trapped inside. For two hours, they dug and worked tirelessly, refusing to leave him behind in the freezing weather. Finally, he was pulled to safety, warmed up, and held close. Every single one of our babies made it out. That day changed everything for us. We went from the cold woods to a warm, safe place where we could finally relax. Our foster mom says we did wonderfully on the ride home, and each day we’ve learned that people can be kind and gentle. We’ve worked hard raising our pups, and now they’re happy, healthy, and thriving — which makes us so proud. These days, we’re ready to focus on being just Juniper and Timber again. We’re a devoted pair who find comfort in each other. Where one of us goes, the other isn’t far behind. We’d love a home where we can continue our journey side by side, soaking up love, enjoying soft beds, and leaving the cold woods far behind us.
