Meet Oreo 🖤🤍 Oreo has been through more than his fair share before finding his way into rescue. He and his brother were found running the streets of Louisiana, but thankfully our rescue partners were able to bring them to safety and give them the care they needed. Oreo was adopted once he arrived in PA but was returned. While Oreo absolutely loves people and is friendly with everyone he meets, he can become protective of his family once he settles into a home. In his previous placement, he did well with the family’s children but became protective when unfamiliar children visited, which led to an incident. Because of this, Oreo is looking for a more predictable, low-traffic home without visiting children. He would do especially well with an adult-only home or a quieter household, such as an older couple. Oreo is believed to be a 3–4 year old Doodle mix. He gets along with other dogs, but would truly thrive as the only pet where he can soak up all the love and attention from his people.
