About Sweets
What are you waiting for? Apply today! Meet Sweets, an adorable Black Labrador Retriever mix currently being fostered in San Diego. She loves people and enjoys making new dog friends. Sweets did well on her recent cat introduction, showing promise for living in a multi-pet household. Originally from Ensenada, Mexico, Sweets grew up on the streets and is now the last of her siblings still seeking a loving family. Her playful nature shines as she enjoys life in her foster home with several other dogs and is especially close with her pals Valentina and senior Red—adopting her with either dog would be a fantastic option, though she’ll thrive as a single dog or in a pack. Sweets is very dog friendly, has not shown any resource guarding, and loves to play with toys. She is crate trained and, although not officially house trained, hasn't had any accidents while roaming the house. She’s calm during car rides and typically quiet, but when she does bark, it’s deep and effective as a warning. Her love of food makes her eager to please, and she delights in walks, hikes, and dog park visits. As there are many young dogs like Sweets in need of homes, both fostering and foster-to-adopt opportunities are encouraged. If you’re in the San Diego area and ready to meet her, the next step is to complete an adoption application. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
