People-oriented - loves attention and cuddling ● How do they handle new situations? Handles it great! Great with adults and interested in new people have not interacted with kids ● How are they with other dogs? Behaved well with my poodle mix. Eager to say hi and sniff other dogs on walks. ● Behavior when left alone or when guests visit: will self regulate and sleep. A few anxious barks but settles. 🎓 Training & Manners ● Potty trained? Yes ● Crate trained? Unsure - did not love the crate when we tried it out ● Leash skills: loves a walk and being on leash. Has a lot of pep in his step but not a hard puller. ● Commands known (if any): unknown. Did not react to sit 🌞 Daily Life ● Typical day with you: loves to cuddle and hang out. Very much Velcro dog behavior. ● Exercise needs: low to moderate! He’s a senior so he can relax and snooze or go for a walk. Wouldn’t recommend running around but definitely has a playful side. ● Favorite activities or toys: unsure didn’t seem interested in toys 🌱 Growth Areas ● What helps them succeed? Lots of love and a calm environment. Doesn’t seem to be bothered by noises but is definitely a social guy. 🏡 Ideal Home ● Only dog / With dog / Either: either ● Good fit for apartment living? Yes ● Best type of household (active, moderate, calm): moderate to calm. He wants to be with his people but given the chance he’ll be a couch potato ● What kind of adopter would be the best match? Someone who could be home often to give him the attention he loves and that understands the needs that come with a senior dog. 💙 Foster Note Max is unintentionally so funny. He’s very happy go lucky and just wants to be with his human and cuddle. He gets super excited when you grab the leash and is ready for a walk. Don’t let his age fool you, he still has so much vim and vigor left in his little body. He would be a great companion for someone who wants low maintenance and enjoys a little goof ball. He’s a sweet little bean and really deserves someone who is ready to spend time relaxing and cuddling in his senior years. INTERESTED IN ADOPTING?
