About Binks
Click apply to start the adoption process. Binks is a Great Dane mix who is searching for a loving new home. At about 18 months old, he is still growing and needs continued guidance, patience, and positive training. Binks came from a tough situation—he was found abandoned without food or water—which explains his tendency to bond quickly and deeply with his humans. Up to date on all his vaccinations, neutered, and with his stomach tacked, Binks is both house-trained and crate-trained, although he prefers to avoid spending time in crates. He adores toys, knows how to walk politely on a leash and follows the "sit" command. As a young, very large fellow, he occasionally acts out when left unsupervised—but with experienced handlers, he'll blossom. Previous experience with large dogs is essential for his adopter. Binks enjoys the company of other dogs, particularly playing with smaller dogs in his foster home and other Great Danes. Another dog companion at home would be ideal for him. Binks loves to greet you with enthusiastic hugs after outdoor time and is convinced he's still a lap dog. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate, extra-large "Velcro dog," Binks may be just the companion you’ve been searching for. Home visits and a veterinarian reference are required for adoption.
