You couldn't ask for a cat more perfect than Olive. She's friendly, but not needy. She's playful, but not crazy high energy. She will greet you at the door when you come home and she has a quirky personality that will make your heart melt. When you want to pet her, she will soak up all the attention you want to give her. When you're too busy, she will contentedly sit next to you and purr or go find a spot near a window to sit and watch the world go by. Her favorite thing is to lie on her side next to you while you pet her belly (see the video). She will sleep next to your pillow at night in order to be close to you. She has the cutest little squeak in place of a meow, and she's surprisingly playful for her age. Her favorite playtime activity is chasing her tail. If you leave a dresser drawer open a crack she will pull items out so she has room to fit inside. She has perfect litterbox habits, keeps her coat very clean, and is not fussy about what food she eats. She's very lady like, with just the right amount of mischievousness. Olive came to us as a temporary foster while her person went to a rehabilitation facility. Sadly, four months later her person passed so now it's time for her find a new forever home. She's always been the only cat and despite months of trying, she never accepted the other cats in her foster home, so she will always need to be the only cat. She did tolerate a small dog in the foster home so she could possibly live with a dog if the dog left her alone. We haven't tested her with children, but she's very gentle and could probably do well with kids who are equally gentle. She has lived in quiet homes with a single person so she would likely do best in a quiet home, but we are willing to consider homes with more activity. Her date of birth on the papers from her former owner is 6/17/16, however, our veterinarian examined her and said she can't believe she's that old.
