Meet Garth, a shy, sweet, long haired patch tabby with adorable ear fluffs. One of many kitties who came from a farm overrun with cats when one of the owners died, the other elderly who became overwhelmed with the cats overpopulating and unable to feed or care for those with medical needs. The location of the farm is located between two counties so the kitties who have been trapped are called the "south county line kitties" and are named after country western singers. Garth is so very soft. He is the definition of floof. He will require some routine grooming to keep him mat free. Garth likes to be underneath blankets so can be a bit hard to find in the room. Scrunched up blankets are usually a good sign he may be underneath. Garth is building his confidence but it's going to take time. There is a dedicated volunteer who has been able to put Garth on her lap with him under a blanket for a good petting session. Garth will need a quieter, routine home with a patient adopter willing to give him gentle pets and praise and time to adjust. Garth will need a small space to acclimate initially. Garth seems to be drawn to other shy kitties where he sits close with them so would do better with another shy, cuddly kitty from here or a resident cat interested in a friend. Garth would do best with a single adopter or a couple. Garth has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Garth has an approximate birthdate of 08-08-2024. His adoption fee is $95.
