About Tracy
Meet Tracey, a pretty long haired tabby with long whiskers and gold eyes. We don't know how long Tracey was living outside but she once had a caretaker who would feed her. The caretaker died and Tracey struggled to manage on her own. One of our volunteers knew of Tracey's plight so she trapped Tracey who has made her way to Second Chance. Tracey is shy and demure. She is still absorbing her new surrounding which certainly has been a change from living on the streets. For a shy cat like her, living outdoors must have been very hard. You can see it in her eyes. What we see is a kitty who needs a little time and a little effort and once she trusts will be a nice companion. She probably was at one time and was either dumped or got lost. Tracey is receptive to slow, gentle pets and will close her eyes to lean in for more. Sudden movements though make her pause. Tracey would do best with a single adopter or couple. A family with older respectful kids may be okay, too. Tracey would benefit from a quieter, routine home, possibly one where the adopter had a lot of time to spend with her. Tracey would probably be fine as an only cat as she cohabitates with other cats but does not seem to need them. Tracey is just looking for that second chance in her golden years. Tracey has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Tracey has an approximate birthdate of 02/23/2016. Her adoption fee is $95. If you are interested in Tracey or any of the cats at Second Chance Cats of West Michigan, go to sccatswm.org/adopt to fill out an application, or stop in during open hours on Fridays from 11-2 or Saturdays and Sundays from 11-4. Please note - we can only adopt to those who live within a one hour drive of Grand Rapids. Thank you!
