Meet Dolce! This girl is nothing short of the sweetest. Dolce is a big, lovable ham who brings the perfect mix of sniffari walk partner and couch-snuggle companionship. Dolce is dog friendly and loves greeting other dogs with play bows. She is also cat friendly. While staying with a temporary foster who had a cat, Dolce approached with the gentlest curiosity and was incredibly respectful as they got to know each other! She has wonderful house manners and has truly been described by many as an "easy keeper." Dolce is fully potty trained, sleeps quietly through the night in her crate, and has had no accidents or destructive behaviors in the home. Though we will admit she has been invited to sleep in the bed a few times, and this girl absolutely loved it. Dolce is a big believer that she might actually be a lap dog! On leash, Dolce walks nicely and enjoys her daily strolls and sniff sessions. She also knows basic cues like "sit" and is eager to please. A no-pull freedom harness has worked great for her, and she happily trots along taking in the world around her. Dolce rides beautifully in the car and has already joined her foster mom on a few outings, including a dog friendly greenhouse and a coffee shop, where she received compliments for how sweet and well behaved she was! At home, Dolce is the perfect balance of active and relaxed. She enjoys her walks and exploring time but is just as happy curling up on the couch while her foster mom reads. She loves chewing on bully sticks, has shown some interest in tennis balls, and overall is just an easy, wonderful house guest. Dolce is also a bit of a soft soul. She really wants to please her people and responds best to kind voices. She doesn't love raised voices or sudden grabbing of her collar, and while she does not react negatively, you can tell she much prefers affection! While we do not have children in our home, Dolce previously lived with kids. Because she is close to 90 pounds and full of enthusiastic tail wags, we would recommend a little caution with very small children during initial introductions - just as that tail can getting wiping with enthusiasm with all the love this girl has to give! Dolce will occasionally let out a small alert bark when someone opens the front door, but otherwise she is a very quiet and easygoing girl. With her beautiful shiny coat, adorable ears, and the sweetest little face wrinkles, Dolce turns heads wherever she goes. But more than anything, it is her loving personality that makes people fall for her.
