Bokki is at our shelter. Please submit an application from our website or just come in to meet him during open hours! Bokki is a 3 year old ray of sunshine all the way from Alabama. He is new to Heartland, but he was in a foster home previously, so we have some good information about him. Bokki is the life of the party. We think he is at least part lab, and labs are known for keeping their puppy personalities well into adulthood. Bokki has matured past the shark phase, but kept his playful, friendly, fun loving characteristics. Now he's the best of both worlds! As you can see from his photos, Bokki gets along with dogs of all ages and sizes. The same goes for people, he is reported to be friendly with children and adults alike. We can't really find a flaw with Bokki. His smile reminds you that life is about finding the joy in every day. If you're looking for a companion who will go on adventures, dole out limitless affection to everyone he meets, and make you laugh with his goofy personality, come in to meet him soon! Bokki's adoption fee is $300.00. This animal is spayed/neutered and up to date on core vaccines. Bokki is Heartworm positive and is undergoing treatment with us. Heartland will cover the cost of treatment until he is Heartworm negative. Heartworm is not contagious to other dogs or people; it is a mosquito-borne disease. It is both preventable and curable! Once cured, there are no long term health effects associated with having Heartworm. Bokki is on a 28 day course of antibiotics, after which he will receive three injections to treat his Heartworm, all to take place at our shelter with our veterinarian. Injection #1 - 4/21/26 Injection #2- 5/19 Injection #3- 5/20 That will complete the treatment, but he will need a quick retest at the adopter's vet 9 months post-treatment to make sure that he is Heartworm-free.
