Thank you!** Meet Saffron - a 2 year old, Boxer mix, who weighed about 48 pounds (as of 11/3/25). This sweet girl was unfortunately surrendered to us in Kentucky after her previous owner fell and broke both legs and was no longer able to care for her. Her previous owner entered a nursing home for rehabilitation and planned to get her back after she recovered from her injuries. However, after several months, her owner went home on oxygen and needed a wheelchair and determined she would no longer be able to take care of Saffron. When Saffron's owner's oxygen level dropped during the original incident, her owner fell and broke both femurs. In that moment, Saffron jumped into action and barked non-stop until someone in the apartment complex decided to do a wellness check. Her previous owner states that Saffron also never left her side and comforted her while waiting for help to arrive. We think she is a hero and such a special girl! Saffron is playful, gets along well with dogs of all ages and sizes. She is fully potty trained and has never had an accident in the house. When she needs to go outside she will give you a paw. She sleeps in bed with me and other dogs. We do put her in a crate when we leave the home. We think she's absolutely perfect and know you will fall in love with her instantly when you meet her! All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.
