Hazel’s been through more than most dogs will ever face. Found trapped outside in the freezing cold, underweight, and battered, she never lost her gentleness—if anything, it’s only made her sweeter. The vets think there was an old injury to her rear, which gives Hazel a bit of a unique gait, but it doesn’t slow her down. At around 45–50 lbs, Hazel is a medium-sized, short-coated Staffordshire Bull Terrier with pretty apricot and white coloring. She’s never let her rough start harden her: Hazel gets along well with other dogs and is wonderful with children.
