After a scary experience as a puppy where she was attacked by a larger dog, she now feels safest in a home without big dogs. She can be a bit excitable around smaller dogs too, so she would do best as the only dog in the home. The good news? Maple has done wonderfully around farm animals, cats, and even chickens—she’s a smart girl who knows how to coexist peacefully. And when it comes to people… Maple is head over heels in love. She absolutely adores human companionship and will happily soak up all the attention, affection, and belly rubs you have to offer. Maple is as intelligent as she is beautiful. She already knows an impressive list of commands—sit, stay, down, come, heel, spin, sit pretty, and “find it.” She’s eager to learn and thrives when given guidance, which is why a breed-experienced owner would be the perfect match to help her continue growing into her best self. She walks nicely on a leash, though she is strong and may pull when excited. She enjoys car rides (safely buckled in, of course!) and currently settles well in a crate at night. Maple is housebroken, knows how to use a doggie door, and has great everyday manners. Maple is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and beautifully groomed—ready to walk right into her next chapter.
