Hollins is a very young female, 10.5 lb., silver Yorkshire Terrier mix. Her estimated date of birth is June 16, 2025. ARF was contacted about a situation where too many dogs were living in a small apartment over a garage. Hollins was part of that situation with seven, three-week-old puppies. They were immediately brought to a foster home where Mom and pups are doing great. She is an absolute delight and has been just the best Mama. Hollins was a teenaged mom who is now learning how to be a puppy and the rules of being in a house. She wants to be with you but is easily distracted by new things. While she's friendly, she's a little standoffish until she knows she can trust you. She's 10.5 lbs. of exploring energy. She would be great in a house with siblings, both 4-legged and 2-legged. Hollins likes to run and play. She gets along with other dogs both large and small. She would be a great little watchdog as she's very alert to strangers at the door. Once she lets you know they are there, she settles back down. When not exploring in the back yard or under a bed, Hollins loves curling up in a comfy chair or even sprawling on the back of the sofa. Chew toys help keep any anxiety down. While she doesn't chew on inappropriate things, she will jump and climb to find anything that might be edible. Cat food is an absolute favorite and she will gorge herself if she gets the chance. She's learning that she doesn't have to scrounge for food anymore and that proper behavior gets yummy rewards. Hollins is very food motivated and would do great with consistent training. She has the athletic ability to do agility, barn hunt or other sports. She already spins and dances on her hind legs so trick dog training would be a piece of cake! Hollins has a $300.00 adoption fee that includes neuter/spay, vaccinations and micro chip.
