Gigi’s story began when she appeared as an older kitten at a location where a kind woman was feeding outdoor cats. It’s likely she had been dumped, drawn to the one place she knew food might be found. Thankfully, the feeder worked with a local group dedicated to spay-neuter and TNR, and Gigi was spayed so she would never contribute to the cycle of homeless kittens. But then life changed. The woman who had been caring for the colony was moving away. Gigi would have had to return to the outdoor colony — an uncertain future for a sweet, friendly girl who clearly belonged in a home. That’s when a volunteer from Bella Vita Rescue stepped in and gave Gigi the chance she deserved. Now safe in a loving foster home, Gigi has blossomed into exactly the cat we knew she could be. Once she settles in and feels comfortable, Gigi is incredibly affectionate, playful, and gentle.
