About Rocco

Rocco’s story isn’t easy to shake. He and a Cane Corso were found surviving together, eating what they could just to make it through. No home or safety, nobody searching for them—just two dogs getting by. Now that Rocco is finally safe and cared for, he’s learning to trust again. He’s cautious with new people—no surprise, considering his past—but his spirit is slowly coming through. He gets a little braver every day. Volunteers notice the change: softer eyes, bolder steps, a careful hope for kindness. There’s a glimpse of Rocco’s playful side when he’s with his friend Jersey, sprinting and goofing off in the play yard. Rocco wants to be carefree, and it’s clear he can get there with the right, patient companion. He’s gentle and quiet. Still decompressing, he will need time and a calm environment to find his footing. We recommend only homes with older, respectful children who understand how to give him space to settle. No dog should have to scrape by just to survive—and Rocco deserves a home, a yard, and people who will show him lasting love. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
