Ray Ray is about six months old and weighs about 50 pounds, we suspect he will gain some more weight and be a large dog when fully grown. One of our volunteers took him to an offsite adoption event recently, and while we didn't find his match they did report the following: Ray Ray is an alert pup who likes to constantly sniff and look around. He was easy to harness and leash. Overall, he rode nicely in the car, pacing a bit at first in the back seat and then settling comfortably into the front passenger seat. When we got to the venue, he wanted to smell all the smells and say hello to his doggy friends. He sat quietly and with disinterest across the walkway from another (also calm) dog. He seems to know sit and would down if someone held a treat in front of his nose to guide him to the ground. Once he's fixated on a smell, it can be hard to redirect him. He seems to respond to a kissing noise to get his attention. On the return trip, he walked right up to the car and let me pick him up to put him inside. He seemed content to ride in the footwell on the way back to the shelter. Ray Ray's adoption fee is $150. He is neutered and microchipped and has age-appropriate vaccinations. A licensing fee may apply.
