Meet Jim — 102 lbs of Gentle, Earnest Sweetness Jim is a five-year-old, oversized teddy bear who wants nothing more than a calm home, a comfy spot to nap, and a human who will help him feel safe in the world again. He’s fully housebroken, polite, and incredibly gentle. Jim is a sensitive soul with a huge heart. He warms up beautifully to women and many men, but loud voices or sudden intensity can make him nervous. When he’s unsure, he’ll tuck his tail and shake a little — but with patience and kindness, he relaxes and shows his sweet, trusting side. Jim is still learning what “play” even means, and it’s touching to watch him take in new experiences at his own pace. Jim does experience some separation anxiety, so he’ll need someone who can help him build confidence and feel secure when left alone. Jim walks🚶‍♂️calmly and enjoys getting out to explore. He may pull when he catches an interesting scent or sees another dog, but overall he’s a pleasant walking companion. Because of his size, a confident handler is helpful. Jim is a big boy — over 100 lbs — and would do best in a house rather than an apartment. A fenced yard would be wonderful for him!
