Dougie — The Puppy With a Big Heart and Even Bigger Zoomies Dougie is a young, 14‑lb bundle of joy, born 12/27/2025 and was being given away for free before rescue stepped in to make sure he got the chance he deserves. He’s smart, trusting, and full of life—one of those dogs who makes every day a little brighter. Dougie has a LOT of energy and loves to run, 🏃‍♂️ explore, and be part of whatever you’re doing. He’s great on a leash but tends to pull because he’s excited about the world. He’s respectful and playful with cats, friendly with guests, and happy to share toys, food, and bones. He’s still working on potty training and has the occasional accident, and he’s somewhat crate‑trained. Like any puppy, he gets into things, but he isn’t destructive—just curious and eager to learn. He’s a quick study and thrives with structure, activity, and positive guidance. Dougie is adaptable and would do well in a house or apartment, with a big family or a single person—what matters most is that he gets daily opportunities to run, play, and burn off his puppy energy. He’s trusting, affectionate, and ready for someone who will help him grow into the amazing dog he’s meant to be.
