Affectionate, sweet and calm, Mama Ember has been a bundle of love in the short time she's spent with us. Despite being offered her own room, Mama Ember would much prefer to always be part of the action whether that's snuggling with her foster mom in a bean bag, sharing a bed or hanging out in the bathroom together. Getting head and chin scratches is her favorite activity, and there is rarely a time when she'll refuse them. Mama Ember has been fairly tolerant of her foster mom's calm dog as long as he gives her enough space, but she has warmed up very quickly to new people who are willing to pet her as much as she wants. She's the perfect cat for someone who prefers a chill night at home snuggling and is willing to lather her in lots of affection!We recently took in Charlie, Fancy, Fiona, Paris, Mama Ember and Lovie from another rescue org. Sadly, the organization's beloved founder passed away a few months ago and left behind her beloved cats. These kitties are rather shell-shocked right now, but all are sweet and friendly. Our intention now is to find them amazing homes to honor her legacy of dedication to saving cats in Western North Carolina. All cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, FELV/FIV tested, microchipped, dewormed and started on monthly flea preventative. Be the first to meet these fine felines by applying to adopt to schedule a meet and greet or by attending our weekly adoption events at PetSmart, Bleachery Blvd, from 12-4pm on Saturday.Fiona and Paris will not be in attendance at PetSmart on 3/21. Fiona can be met at Willd Birds Unlimited, North Asheville, during business hours. All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption.
