Contact msart17@gmail.com for more information or to adopt the pet.Ami is a 2-year-old, grey tabby cat. Ami is a very affectionate lap cat. She even likes to climb up onto your shoulder if you let her. She purrs a lot as well. She loves to be petted and will nibble at your hand a little to let you know.I adopted Ami in November from a group called Rescue Cats in Morrow, Ga. She was being housed at the Petsmart there in Morrow. The way I understand her story is she was found pregnant and turned over to this cat rescue foster mom until she had her kittens (4). Then when they were old enough, Ami was put up for adoption and that is how I got her. I drove her home with me back to Montreat, NC.I am a 72 year old widow who lives in a small basement apartment. At first I was letting Ami sleep with me like I had done with my last cat 16 years ago. Ami started playing and attacking my feet so I moved her out into the main area and shut my bedroom door, but she started scratching at the door trying to get in. She also has been scratching at the door to the outside, as well as meowing a lot as she was trying to get out. It seems she was an inside/outside cat at some point. I have tried for almost 5 months now to work with her, but when it starts to affect my sleep I feel it just isn’t a good fit. I think Ami would be a great inside/outside cat. I am not in a good place to try this. Ami is a very affectionate lap cat. She even likes to climb up onto your shoulder if you let her. She purrs a lot as well. Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.
