He turned 3 years old in December and looks to be a mix of miniature Australian shepherd and miniature poodle (mini aussiedoodle). He was adopted not long after his arrival, but was returned to us in March 2026, after about 7 months in the home. He's an extremely shy, but very nice dog with the potential to be a lovely companion. His name in his adoptive home was Link and he does respond to it. He has been vet checked, neutered, and chipped, and his fee is $150. Pecan/Link is a really shy boy who seems to respond best to women right now. He was returned as he was way too nervous and stressed around his adopter's kids and her significant other. He did learn a lot during his 7 months in his home and did really well with other dogs. He is a mix of two active and intelligent breeds and does require regular exercise. He will need consistent grooming as he has a dense, curly coat. He is looking for an ADULT only home, preferably with a woman, and wouldn't mind another canine companion. We have no way of knowing about cats. NOTE: Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.
