Amber isn’t just looking for a home—she’s looking for her person. This beautiful girl is incredibly affectionate and lives for pets, chin scratches, and being close to the people she loves. While she’s not a big fan of being picked up, Amber will happily curl up beside you, lean into your hand for more scratches, and soak up every bit of attention you’re willing to give. Treats and scratching pads are some of her favorite little joys. Amber also has a playful side and does wonderfully with kittens. In fact, she has quite the story. At only about two years old, Amber was heartbreakingly tossed outside with her six tiny kittens in late March. Despite everything she had been through, Amber proved to be the most devoted and patient mama. She raised her babies with calm strength and gentle care, even welcoming and nurturing additional foster kittens after some of her own were adopted. Every one of her babies has now found their forever homes. Now, for the first time, it’s finally Amber’s turn. Amber can be a little protective around other adult cats, likely from her time spent fiercely caring for her kittens. With slow, thoughtful introductions she may do fine with another cat, and she has always been wonderful with kittens. But what Amber truly wants most is a human best friend who will give her the love and attention she’s always given to others. She’s a calm, sweet soul who will quietly become your shadow—waiting for chin scratches, curling up nearby, and reminding you every day how special the bond between a rescued cat and their person can be. Amber has spent her life taking care of everyone else. Now she deserves someone who will finally take care of her. Amber is fully vetted and ready to go.
