Kilo is a gentle little shadow who just wants to be wherever you are. If you stand up, he stands up. If you move rooms, he quietly follows. He just likes to keep his people in sight and know everyone is together. He has a really calm presence in the home and settles in easily to whatever the day looks like. Most of the time he is curled up nearby, sleeping, or watching what you're doing. He is not destructive and doesn't get into things. He is a very easy dog to live with. At night, he wants to be close. He sleeps best when he is next to his person and will happily keep your spot warm if you get up. He is affectionate in a quiet way and bonds deeply to his people. Kilo has done well around small animals (like guinea pigs) in foster and has shown himself to be a sensitive, respectful dog who appreciates a calm environment. He feels safest when life is predictable and when he knows where his people are. Kilo is not good with cats. Because he is older, his vision is not perfect. He gets around familiar spaces just fine, but new environments can make him unsure at first. Sometimes he will bark briefly while he figures things out, but once he realizes he is safe, he settles. Kilo would do best in a quieter home with adults or older kids who understand giving him a little space when he needs it. He is not looking for a busy or high energy lifestyle. He is the kind of dog you adopt when you want companionship more than activity. Someone to keep you company on the couch, follow you around the house, and sleep beside you at night. He has been waiting a while for the right person, and we know that person is out there.
