SATURDAY, MARCH 21 from 12-3PM: DOG ADOPTION EVENT AT the OLATHE PETSMART at 119th & Strang Line with volunteers from Heart of America Humane Society. We'll have several wonderful dogs there looking for homes! ——————— What a face! HERCULES is a wonderful American Bulldog mix. This big hippo is 3 years old and he weighs 88 lbs. Don't let his size intimidate you-- he is one giant sweetheart! Hercules is gentle and mellow. He loves his toy and carries it around. He is easy to walk and has good manners. Hercules is good with other dogs and lived with another American Bulldog named Tiny in his previous home. Tiny is also available for adoption. They are both friendly outgoing dogs and could be adopted separately or together, and will adjust well to a loving home either way. Sadly, Hercules tested positive for heartworms. But please don’t let this scare you away! We just need to get him into a home during his treatment. The cost for the heartworm treatment is completely covered. We can provide you with more info about his heartworm treatment if you are interested in adopting or fostering him (we’d love to find him a foster home!). Once his treatment plan is completed, Hercules will be able to live a normal healthy life with no restrictions! ADOPTING A DOG Our dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and tested for heartworms (if 7 months or older). If you have a dog or children we ask that you bring them with you to meet our dogs to make sure it is a good match. We are open for meet and greet adoptions at our shelter on weekends. No appointment is necessary for weekend adoptions. Our weekend hours vary and we also have satellite adoption events every weekend.
