This handsome red Miniature Pinscher found himself wandering the streets of Chicago before landing at Chicago Animal Care & Control. We took one look at him and knew we couldn’t leave him behind. Rudolph is a senior (around 10 years old) but you wouldn’t know it—he’s active, enjoys his walks, and still gets very excited for treats. He’s a great little companion at about 14 pounds: small enough to be portable, but sturdy and confident. He’s been in a foster home for a few months now and has been an easy, enjoyable dog to have around. He does well with other dogs and settles in nicely. He hasn’t been around cats, so slow introductions would be best. Rudolph recently had a dental, and his teeth are in great shape with no extractions needed. He is a bit hard of hearing, but it doesn’t slow him down or affect his day-to-day life. Overall, he’s just a really solid, low-drama dog who’s ready for a home of his own.
