Most Floyd Feline Volunteers wouldn't recognize Darryl as the same cat that came to us a month ago. He showed himself as a fully, feral cat. Therefore, when he was neutered, he ended up with a tipped ear. We felt he was destined to be a barn cat. But NOOOOOO - Darryl was put into the Adoption room where he could be out of the kennel and be around other cats and he is blooming. When volunteers come into the room, he comes out and requests some pets. He is still a little hesitant about it, but he approaches. Once the petting begins, he wants it to keep going. He gets along with other cats and in fact, he really loves being around them. He is probably going to need a home with another cat or two so that he will have "friends". This seems to give him more confidence, especially when they see him interacting with people. Patience is still needed at this point with Darryl - but we are seeing what a great guy he truly is.
