Meet Odin! Odin is a rather big boy who likes his peace and quiet. He generally keeps to himself and loves to sleep in throughout the day. Due to his plump shape, we recommend keeping in close contact with your vet to determine a safe, gradual weight loss plan, as it is very important to keep an eye on his food intake. Once he's comfortable in your home, you can begin working on a better diet to help shed a few pounds. He also has trouble keeping his rear end clean, and will need to be regularly cleaned and groomed. He has previously lived with cats but we would recommend a slow introduction to any pets in the house. Ready to Adopt? You have two options: #1- VISIT IN PERSON Come during our open adoption hours: Tuesday - Saturday,12:30 - 3:00pm. You'll be able to meet available cats in the shelter. (Cats in foster care are not available for in-person visits.) #2- ADOPT REMOTELY OR PLACE A 24-HOUR HOLD** If you're ready to adopt without meeting the cat first, or you'd like to place a non-refundable $25 hold to reserve a cat for 24 hours, just call or email us: (413) 781-4000 x 1 springfield@dakinhumane.org.
