Chata is currently enrolled in the 10 week training program at Lakeland Correctional Facility in Coldwater, MI. She will be ready to go home on May 22nd 2026. We are currently accepting applications! Chata does have a Grade 2 heart murmur and is currently on Prozac for some anxiety. Meet Chata Chata is a sweet, affectionate girl with a gentle heart & a fun, playful personality. She enjoys being around her people & forms strong bonds once she feels comfortable in her environment. She does very well with other dogs & has a naturally submissive demeanor, making her a great fit for a home with canine companions. Chata also coexists well with cats, only occasionally engaging in playful chasing when initiated. Chata can be a bit shy when meeting new people at first, but with patience & kindness, she warms up quickly & becomes incredibly loving & loyal. She would do best in a home with older children or adults. While she is friendly, she can become excited & may accidentally knock over younger children. Chata is currently working on her manners, basic obedience, & potty training. She is about 95% potty trained & continues to make great progress. She can become distracted while outside, so she benefits from being monitored during potty breaks to help keep her on track. Chata is a wonderful dog with so much love to give. With continued guidance & a committed home, she will grow into a well-mannered, devoted companion.
