Sweet Pea is exactly what her name promises—a soft, loving soul with just the right amount of playful charm. This beautiful Shar Pei mix is thought to be around 1–2 years old and weighs in at about 50-55 pounds of pure affection. After lovingly raising her puppies in the shelter (the “S” litter), she's now embracing the good life indoors and soaking up every bit of comfort and attention she can get. She's also the sister of Lily, who raised the Thanksgiving leftover litter, and it's clear that sweetness runs in the family. Sweet Pea is currently finishing up treatment for Lyme disease and is up to date on all vaccines. She will be spayed once she's cleared after raising her pups, but she's otherwise ready to find her forever home. She's fully house trained and has had no accidents in her foster home. While she hasn't been crated, she's proven to be trustworthy—perfectly content lounging on the couch and enjoying a cozy, relaxed routine. Her personality is where she truly shines. Sweet Pea is incredibly loving, gentle, and people-focused—she hasn't met a single person she doesn't adore. She thrives on affection and will happily curl up in your lap or take over your personal space for cuddles. If you stop petting her too soon, she'll gently take your hand in her mouth and place it back on her, just to remind you she's not done yet. It's her signature move, and it's impossible not to fall in love. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and even cats, making her a great addition to a multi-pet home. She's also fantastic with kids and enjoys having visitors—her foster home is full of activity, and she greets everyone with a happy, wagging tail. She enjoys playing with her toys, spending time with her furry friends, and going for walks. When she spots small animals like rabbits or squirrels outside, she does like to give chase, so she'll do best with a family that can keep her safely managed on walks or in a secure yard. Aside from that, she's incredibly adaptable and would do well in just about any loving home.
