About Jerry
Double the Scoops, Double the Love: Meet Ben & Jerry! If you've ever believed that life is better with ice cream, wait until you meet Ben and Jerry-two sweet one-year-old Yorkie boys who prove that the best things really do come in pairs. These little guys may share famous ice cream names, but their personalities are their own special flavors. While Ben is calm and more reserved, Jerry, on the other hand, is the swirl of chocolate fudge-curious, energetic, and always interested in the world around him. He loves investigating new sights and sounds and brings a little extra spark wherever he goes. Jerry's playful spirit makes life more fun, especially when he's zooming around the yard. Jerry is almost a year old and weighs about 12 pounds. Although they aren't from the same litter, Ben and Jerry have been together since birth (they're just a few days apart in age). They are not bonded and can be adopted separately or together. Jerry sleeps soundly through the night with Ben in the same crate. You'll often find them wrestling, chasing, or simply hanging out side-by-side. Jerry is making great progress learning about the good life: Crate trained and sleep through the night together Learning to walk on leashes (they're still beginners, so not marathon walkers yet) Comfortable navigating stairs Discovering toys and playtime Love running free in a fenced yard and play-wrestling together Almost fully house trained and currently wear belly bands (which are often dry!) Jerry came from a breeder situation where his first year wasn't ideal, but he is quickly learning that people can be kind and life can be sweet. With a little patience and a lot of love, Jerry is blossoming more every day. The ideal home for Jerry is a place where he can continue building confidence, playing in a fenced yard, and soaking up all the love he missed out on. Another playful dog would be great for this fun guy. If your home has room for one, or even two small scoops of joy, Ben and Jerry are ready to melt your heart. Warning: Side effects of adoption may include constant smiles, endless cuddles, and the strong urge to buy ice cream. Jerry is neutered, microchipped, heartworm-negative, and up-to-date on their vaccinations. His adoption fee is $325. Apply to meet Jerry (or Ben) today by filling out the adoption application at istodaymydayrescue.org.
