Shenzi is still waiting for a place to land, and it’s hard to understand why. Rescued from a cemetery, this sweet girl has already shown just how resilient, loving, and full of life she is — she just needs a home where she can keep growing. Shenzi is pure joy. She loves other dogs, especially playful younger males, and absolutely adores kids. When she plays, she breaks into the cutest little bunny hops and spins, like she’s too happy to stay grounded. She has a light, silly energy that makes everyone around her smile. Because she spent much of her life outdoors, the inside world is still new to her. It can feel a little overwhelming at first, but once she settles in, she leans all the way in. She’s already picking up on routines quickly and clearly wants to be part of the action, soaking up attention and learning what it means to be a family dog. Shenzi is incredibly sweet and affectionate, with a playful personality and a genuine excitement for life. She will need a home that understands she’s still adjusting and can continue guiding her through indoor living with patience and consistency. She is capable of jumping a fence, so a secure setup and supervision will be important while she continues to decompress and learn her surroundings. More than anything, Shenzi just needs a chance. She doesn’t need perfection — just a safe, loving environment where she can continue to thrive and feel secure. With the right home, she is going to blossom into an incredibly special companion. Adoption is $275, which includes spay/neuter at our vet, vaccines, dewormer, microchip, and clean bill of health.
